One of the greatest gifts you can give is your time.
We have volunteer opportunities to fit every interest and schedule. From special events or preparing Christmas decorations to guiding tours or working in the gardens, we can offer an experience to inspire you.

Expect the unexpected at the Tryon Palace Museum Store. Located in the North Carolina History Center, the Museum Store offers a wide assortment of specialty products, including books, food, plants, pottery and fine crafts, jewelry, tabletop objects, toys and more.
Craft and Garden Shop
Sweets and treats are waiting for you at the Tryon Palace Craft and Garden Shop. Located on the Palace grounds (directly behind the Stable Office), this unique little shop has something for visitors of all ages.
Education Volunteers
Volunteer opportunities include:
- Tour guides in the historic buildings, museum galleries, and Pepsi Portal to History
- Performing living history demonstrations

A few of Education’s opportunities have limited spaces available, including working in the Costume Shop assisting our Historic Costumer creating period clothing and our youth volunteer program for high schoolers interested in public history.
