At Tryon Palace, you can participate in a living history experience like no other – one that uniquely blends cutting-edge technology with the events, stories and people of centuries past.
Participate in guided tours, living history demonstrations, and conversations with costumed interpreters that bring history to life in vivid detail at the Governor’s Palace, Gardens and Historic Homes. Interactive, multi-person games and hands-on exhibits delight visitors young and old at the North Carolina History Center. Immersive encounters and learning adventures abound for the whole family. Where you’re exploring one of our riverside gardens or sharpening your skills as a printer, ship’s captain or cook, there are endless opportunities for making cherished family memories at Tryon Palace.
Currently, we are operating under Governor Cooper’s Executive Orders and Guidelines for Public Safety. Tours have limited capacity, and some historic homes and exhibits are closed.
