Guided tours, living history demonstrations, and conversations with costumed interpreters that bring history to life. Upcoming Hours & Admission
Tryon Palace Gardens and Grounds:
- Monday – Saturday: During Daylight Savings, Open 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM. During Standard Time we close at 5:00 PM.
- Sunday: Open Noon – 6:00 PM
Governor’s Palace:
Tours of the Palace are included in a ONE DAY pass. ONE DAY passes also include the Kitchen Office and Dixon House.
- Sunday – Friday: Noon – 3:00 PM; every half hour.
- Saturday: 10:30 AM – 3:00 PM; every half hour.
Kitchen Office:
- Sunday – Friday: Noon – 4:00 PM; every half hour.
- Saturday: 10:30 AM – 4:00 PM; every half hour.
Dixon House:
Interpreter led tour of Dixon House included in ONE DAY pass.
New Bern Academy
• Most Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays: 12:30 – 4:30 PM. Call 639-3525 prior to visiting to confirm hours of operation.
North Carolina History Center:
Admission ticket required. Some exhibits, including the Pepsi Family Center, remain closed for your safety.

Admission ticket is not required to visit Store.
